Hi my name is Dan and I have a 3 year old female named Fana and I have just bought a 8 week male named TICO I am trying to present TICO to FANA but she pays no mind and plays in and out the cage. I also had a question is it okay to by a 20lb bag of Exact original. Because I'm wondering if the food will go bad if stored for a while... Once again thanks and I am happy to be a member of the Discussion Forum ... Is it true that cranberry juice mixed with water good for the bird

Hello Dan and welcome. Introducing birds always needs care because they can be fussy about who they want to be with, so just take your time, especially with Tico still being a baby.
Check the date on all food and only buy amounts that you know you will be able to use in that time but if you store it in a cool place it should be okay. All sorts of fruit juices are good for parrots as long as it is the pure juice with no additives. Cranberries and cranberry juice are fine.

Hi Dan, I'd like to add to Jane's post. Watch out for sugar in the juice. 1 gram = 1 Teasthingy. Get a cheap juicer and use the the real thing, but as she says: the shelf life is short. We have six parrots but they have their own home, so Jane is the person to advise your other situation. Welcome to our group.

Hahaha, that word sensor seems a little bit TOO sensitive... although I heard in the new version of Proboards that will be corrected
