Hi Preston, Seems your website is down today... none of the pages can be reached Hope you will be able to get it in the air again soon. Good luck! PS if you really have a problem PM me and I will give you space in my domain to host your site (temporary). I have virtually no bandwith limits and enough space for both of us

Does Preston has a website? what's the address?
By the way, Dandy, congratulations for Dandy's website. It's great, and I am learning a lot by sharing experiences. How is Dandy? His story is very striking. When was the last time you've visited him?

Hi Airzee, Your Internet provider usually provides you some basic web space for personal use. If you have a provider that is real cheap they have excluded the bandwith to offer the lower price. Call your provider and ask about personal storage. They usually have plans of different prices. What you see on mine also holds most of the Avatars on this board and it is less than 5 Megs. I have 10 that comes with the $15 a month that I pay for the connection. I think the next step is 100 Megs for an extra $10 per month; that is a TON of storage. That is the easy part. Your next step is to learn at least HTML (what I use). HypeText Mark-up Language is used to write my pages the pages, it is pretty simple once you get the idea. The ones you see today are mostly written by side programs. You'll need to learn to FTP [File Transfer Protocal], which transfers files to the host machine so that the viewers can access it. Sophia can comment on this. It really isn't hard to do, but it better match letter for letter, capitol to capitol, lower case also, or you will he pulling hair out to get it to work. Try it, it is fun. I did mine so that we all could look at each others birds. I like to add funny comments for reading. Oh, and in closing, go to my site ane click on view then click on Page Source, you'll see the HTML that creates the page. I'll help you if you want to make a page.

Very true Preston, I would recommend a provider like iPowerweb, you can even use their free html editor and it is as easy to use as MS Word. You get 3 GB of space and it costs about $8 a month. If you are looking for a free or cheap local html editor, I would recommend CoffeeCup. It takes care of everything, including getting your neat website to the web for everyone to enjoy. As Preston said, that is the trickiest part, but well worth it And now I am getting ready to travel to my Sweetheart in Canada, see you in a few weeks friends!
