OK, I'm just new to this board, I am really enjoying it too! Now, my question is, What's the difference personality wise between the timnehs and the congos? I read someplace that the congo will bond with one and then maybe change their minds and bond with some one else, but the Timnehs don't normaly do this. Am I wrong there? I don't have a gray yet but am doing all the reading up I can. before I buy one. ;D

The difference between Congo and Timneh personality can only really be a generalisation because there is so much variation between individual birds. Not all Congos bond with one person and of those that do they don't all change their minds although it does happen. The Timnehs are generally described as less nervous, more laid back than the Congos and less likely to bond with one person. The Congos tend to be a bit more highly strung. Having said that, I have a Congo who is a one person bird and another Congo who is friendly with everyone and has never bonded exclusively. The talking potential of the Congo and the Timneh Greys is equal.
