Still a bit concerned that my little one will not attempt to leave his cage.....has anyone suggestion how to encourage,he also squawks loads when I get near him,when I feed him and clean the cage out every day ??

It all takes time, and I don't mean a day or two. It may be months before he perks up. Try not cleaning the cage so often, and constantly talk to him explaining your every move when you are around him. Positive praise, and I mean clap lightly and say good boy. Pete shows off just to hear us do it.

He is still nervous, he might also be a bit frightened of clambering around and actually getting out. You said you had top and side doors so leave them both open so he has a choice. Greys can be very wary and even once they are settled and tame they can still be nervous and frightened of change and new things. As Preston says it all takes time but when he does come out he might take you by surprise because greys are usually thinking things through all the time and he may make a sudden decision.
