hi, when i place Coco (AG) back in the cage she goes to cage floor and starts scratching in the corners (i assume wanting to get out of the cage) almost like skiing. Do anybody know why she is doing that? she is 4 months old and i have her about 1 month and shes doing that now for a week. SA

She wants out!! If your awake leave the door o[en until you bid her goodnight and go to bed. She will settle in and sleep until morning. Andi is asleep in her cage now, but the door is open and she knows she is free.

A lot of baby birds do this, they grow out of it although having said that Mitzi (12) still does the scratching sometimes when she is out on the sofa.

My Snickers does this too when I first put him in his cage before I go to work. It's definitely cause he doesn't want to be in there! He's always getting down on the floor and tries to scratch his way under the couch. I swear he was a rodent in his first life

Yea, my Oliver did this a lot when he was a baby. It's so funny looking. It cracks me up. He'll still do that from time to time. And yea, I took it that he wants out.
