we try to get him to climb on hand but he doesn't want anything to do with it. Any ideas??

Step up training is the best way to go about it because you can do it in stages if he is really reluctant. Put your hand in front of him, just above his feet and nudging his tummy. Reward him with lots of praise or a treat for each part of this he will let you do. The next stage is to gently nudge his tummy and this will make him feel a bit unbalanced so should make him move his feet. He will either run away if he has somewhere to run, or, ideally, he will put a foot on your hand to steady himself. It is best to do this when he is on a perch. Again reward him. If he is really reluctant, hold a treat in your other hand just a bit too far away for him to reach unless he steps on your hand.

In my case they will not take things from me, they are help myself kind of grays. If they step up its because they want to. I keep trying
