Have a question ... Boomer started yesterday sticking her tongue out once in a while on both side of her mouth ... Doesn't leave it there . just sticks it out and back in the mouth ... She seam to eat ok ... Throught maybe she just found her tongue like baby's do ... Could that be it ?
Thanks for any input on this . Bippea

Mitzi does this as well. The tongue comes lolling out and then she puts it back in again. Sometimes it is to clean her beak but other times I think it is just something she does.

Sometimes it seems to be a game to see how far they can stick it out and they try to look at it. Lidia

Hi Lidia .. that could be it ... smile ... They sure are fun birds ... This is my second grey and Boomer lots more playful and funny then Barney was .... Boomer slower at talking then Barney was ... She jabber but once in a while you can understand her ... Its funny I will be in the computer room and skipper (cockateil) and boomer in the family room ... You never heard such jabbering back and forth ... I play the organ boy you should hear that ... beppea
