Sorry I ask so much! Chiv has just recently starting doing this furious head-bobbing routine. What does this usually mean?

I believe it's a sign of affection. My conure used to do that when he was...um...turned on.

There isn't such a thing as too many questions so don't worry about that. Head bobbing is usually either excitement if it is plain bobbing up and down, or if it is more of a pumping action it is a food begging or regurgitation action. Either way it is normal behaviour.

My Grey starts panting heavily when he is excited with his shoulders spread wide. It was quite scary at first but now that I realise why he does it, it's quite an endearing quality!
Actually, when I'm trying to get him back in his cage and he's moving from one shoulder to another to avoid it, he often pants. I think that's his way of playing a joke on me!
Fools!
Jimbo.
