Our rescured bird (which we have named Comet for falling into our life) bites. He seems happy and sings all the time. He will gently take food from you but if you try to have him get on your hand or if you try to pet him he tries to bite. I was wearing a leather glove a few times since I do not want to be bitten till it bleeds but was advised by a pet store not to wear gloves. Is there an easy quick way to stop this behavior without getting bit alot?

Yes it is best not to wear gloves as these can frighten them. Watch his body language so that you can avoid getting bitten but for now just go slowly and don't try to touch him yet.
If he does bite you try not to react because this will make him bite more.
He might not be used to being touched so this will take time. Even if he is used to being touched he will still need time before he lets you do it.

I've read that we should get it's wings clipped because it makes it easier to train. Is this true?

Well it makes them easier to handle and he will lose his confidence for a while, but wing clipping has to be done with care by someone who knows how to clip a Grey's wings.
