Hi may name is Floyd and I have little girl by the name of Francine. She just turned 3 months on April 30th. I got her one month ago and she is very good except she is starting to bite. I have read what have been posted and will keep in mind all that was said. She is sitting on my hand as I type this and she is making sound like a puppy and nibbling my fingers softly. I think she is exited. How long will it take to for her to start talking?

They vary with talking, some start at just a few months, others much later. The average is around a year.

I think Joshua was nearly two when he started, but he's a great talker now.

They tend to just decide for themselves what they will say regardless of how often they hear something but always tell them what you are doing and what you are giving them, say hello, good morning, goodbye etc. Emphasising words or saying them in an excited way can also help. I have one that talks and one that doesn't talk at all.

As of now all Francine do is to ring like the phone when I walk in the room.
