That is not a bit pricey for a Blue and Gold? I have seen many on Craig's list in my area for under $1000 even if they include the cage. After buying Manzi though I would find it very hard to put a price tag on him and I certainly think he is worth much more than I paid. Goodluck, I have always wanted a Blue and Gold. I heard that they are so loving and smart.

I also feel that $2000. is a lot for a B&G. They sell here for $1200. as babies and I have seen them listed in the paper for $800. with a large cage.

LOL! I wouldn't be much help. I've always said there are 2 birds I would never turn down. One is an African Grey - which one was given to me last month. The other is a Blue & Gold. I have a name picked out & everything...just waiting...someday ;D

I just checked the Craig's List in my area again and there is a 6yr old B&G with cage, toys, and stand for $600. I would love to get one, but I am in a apartment and I think that Manzi is almost pushing the limit. I have heard that with two birds, the noise level goes up exponentially!

I hate having to tell myself I have to wait, especially when my personality leaves little room for patience.

Yeah, once I get Sammie settled into the new home and routine our baby eclectus Lily will be home. I went nuts when Sammie came home it was being a new mother again "is the food to hot to cold. Is she happy, will she bite oh my God." Well so far so good. I now have 5 birds, 2 dogs and an acquatic frog. My sister has a goffin, Sulfer Crested Cockatoo and a Blue and Gold that is her favorite one. So I don't know I say go for it life is too short. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!
