That one doesn't produce ozone, which is the usual concern about using air purifiers so I would think it is okay.

I use the Ionic Breeze and love it. We smoke so it really helps. It has an attachment to break down Ozone (O3) into (Oxygen O) so that's a bonus for what Jane said. No filters, just metal plates that collect all of the nasty stuff in the air. If I remember right , I gave $300ish for mine and well worth it. keep us posted as this is a good subject for bird owners.

Forgive me if this is too personal, but by saying "we smoke" does that mean Pete and the gang are back? I also noticed that you deleted the bottom quote.

Yes, Pete is to my left and has already stolen my control key. I have to go the my house and get Andi's big cage. I haven't been able to work for a year and I have just now run out of savings. To keep my house I will have to dig into my retirement, and it is just too large for me plus all being said it was just a client front. A nice friendly evening after dinner in less than a 7 figgure house doesn't catch 8+ figgure contracts. Social Security says I have too much money to get disability, but I didn't have too much for them to take it from me since 1974. So yes this is the offical post that my wife and I are back together and the flock is intact. Andi and Pete made friends already, so I joined the "Two Grey Club". This should work out because my wife's major complaint was that I worked too much. She seems happier scrounging for money anyhow. I let her plan and budget until she needs help, something she hasn't had to do for 13 years. Funny, they say you have everything if you have your health, it is so true. Good detective work, the only other that would have caught it already knows.

He is comming on Saturday to present it to me. He is wanting the pro's and con of what I think of it. I have heard of the Ionic Breeze and was told it dries you out but she had said it might have been because it was close quarter where she experance it. Have you found a problem with that Preston? We also smoke not around the flock, but we also burn wood for heat so anything to make it better for all of us. BTW Congrat's on the family reunighted. Love happy ending.

I just bought my second Ionic Breeze. I bought refurbished ones for around $150 a piece, and they have a 5 year warranty just like brand new ones. I think they work great. I have to clean them pretty frequently and lots of crud comes off. You can actually see the bird dander stuck to the blades, as well as gnats and a little dog hair (my dog doesn't shed, but he he loses a certain amount of hair just like a human does). Glad to hear your flock is back together Preston . I've given a little thought to being a 2 grey house, but I don't know if my parents would go for it. The other day, I showed Nikko her reflection in a mirror, and she let out a delighted chirp and bobbed up and down. I took that as a sign that she might be open to a second grey living here.

Thanks Guys. And as far as drying you out, I also have an evaporative humidifier that solves that. They are cheep at Wally World. As usual, I modified mine to hold 5 gallons of water so it is 10 days between refills as opposed to 8 hours.

I don't mean to offend the smokers, but I find it curious that you're more concerned about your bird's health than your own . Just in case you haven't thought about it, be sure to wash your hands after you smoke, and before you handle your bird. The nicotine residue on your hands is bad for the bird.

Well the bird has no choise so we have to protect them. We the humans became addicted before we knew it was bad for you, at least that's what happened to me. I buy Dial Anti-Bacterial soap buy the gallon refills, and the air cleaners, ceiling fans. Nothing replaces non-smoking, but I do my best to keep clean air moving.
