I was at the bird store on Monday and a lady traded her Cockatoo and her Grey for cages for some of her other birds. She lost everything to hurricane Katrina but saved all her birds. They have been living in travel cages til now. She was upset at having to give up her babies but needed to get her other birds in cages. I am still seeing the effects of the storm and its been 6 months. I saw several people buying cages over the weekend so the can move their birds home. Here is a pic of the Cockatoo. img295.imageshack.us/img295/7766/img23170tp.jpg

I asked the store owner if he would sell them and he said he promised the lady that he would keep them for a while incase she could buy them back. I felt so bad for her and her husband. They did not want to leave their babies behind. Still makes me sad thinking about it.
