Patty I hope you are undestanding that I already had found a breeder that told me she would have babies in the spring. Late in January and only after I prodded her did she finally tell me there would be no babies. It seems that most breeders have "lists" of people that want TAGs and I wasted a couple of months counting on this breeder spring chicks. Wow 10 or 12 breeders ?? The lady I was dealing with has 2--uhmm recently I saw on her website that now she has 3.
Believe me Mannie, if it weren't my busy season, and I would've known a bit earlier that this breeder was;t gonna have any babies, I would be talking to the people in NC that you know. Jean Pattison, the lady that I am now on her list lives in Fla and I have already thought of driving there rather than having the bird shipped.
I was at the pet store today and the owner mentioned that Sunday is a bigger bird show and its only an hours drive. I woulda missed it if she hadn't of said something as I don't have lots of time to spend on the internet these days. I switched some of my appointments around so I could go to it. But believe me I am not gonna get my hopes up too high.
Spooky the last PEAC course I need isn't until May 20th and I think its pretty far away. I'm hoping to get to it. They space there courses so far apart its kinda crazy. The first one was in Oct or Nov if I remember right--the next was in January and the last one is in May. Oh yeah by the way--remember I mentioned the grey with the blind eye they had--well she was adopted the very night I saw her at the open house. The next flier they mailed out didn't have any greys on it at all. Besides they won't even put me on the list until I take the last course and now they're telling me that if I adopt or want their help with my tiel, I would have to pay for their gasoline as I live more than an hours drive away from their headquarters. And no--my tiel is no better than before. Sadly I have to keep him covered for hours now while my clients come to my house. I try to uncover him and let him loose as much as possible but it sure isn't very much.
