John, I know of two people with hawkheads - one is on another forum I go to and the other is in my local parrot club. They are really cool birds with amazing colours, aren't they?

My list of birds that I would like to own grows every day.
Traci, Sam, my Amazon, is from VA. His band # is: VA MONK 2, its silver in color. I don't know his exact hatch date. Have you seen any birds with this breeders code? I was looking for information on where he came from and couldn't find a listing of the breeder.

Hawkheads are such an unusual looking bird and always attract "Ooohs and Ahhhhs" from those who stop to admire there beauty. Like Caiques these guys are not a good choice for a first time parrot.

Yes, My mom owns one.. she was originally supposed to be my bird, we got her when I first moved down to AZ and was staying with my mom, but she couldnt part with her when I moved out. She is amazing... So sweet, she has my laugh and will laugh at things we would think are funny.. She LOVES feet and when she is on the floor will hiss and charge at your feet. Shes always gets TONS of ooo's and aw's.
