When I got my U2 she would go to anyone but not anymore and I have not had her that long. If you do get one you might want to get a very young one than so that she will get used to everyone in the family. My U2 screamed alot when I first got her but not so much now. If I get out of her site is one time she will scream and not stop until she sees me. But this is if she knows I am home. When she does scream for unknown reasons she makes my dogs whine. Scares the other birds off of there cages at times.
I have had a M2 that I did a rescue on and he was not tame but did alot of work with him and he was a plucker on the top of that. I did get him where I could pick him up and pet him I even have pic of him sitting on the arm of the sofa with me, petting him. Thru a friend I did sell him to another lady that breeds them she also had a female that was a plucker. The two bonded and both stopped plucking. No babies yet but this was 2 years ago. Iam saying this because with having the two I do not feel that either is louder than the other. A neighbor also has a M2 and she screams alot and she has had this bird since it was a baby. So what I am trying to say if the bird is going to go to any one it will and if it decides to bond to one person there is no garantee that just anyone can pick the bird up.
Sorry so long I am just talking from what I have been thru here with the ones I have had and still have here today..
