Jane has the right path to your answer. My Lutinos have a small bald spot behind the crest. My white faced and regular grey have none. It seems to be normal.

The female and the male is in one cage and its the male that has the bald spot on his head. I also have another male in another cage and he is all feathered. I think I am confused is he alright or should I take the female out maybe they don't get along???

I think as your male, Emil, was okay until he was with the female, Lilly, it could be her doing it. The bald spot is specifically associated with lutino cockatiels and is a genetic trait but yours are grey ones, not lutinos.

You could separate them and see what happens. They might miss each other in spite of the plucking!

I have a cockatiel that had a bald spot on the head and some feather plucking on the wings. I brought him home and he lives with two others. He has been here for about 6 months now and the feathers are starting to come back so I think you should just give it time and see what happens.
Good Luck!
