I think Mynah birds are quite active and hop rather than climb. I know they are very good talkers!

Resham, There was only 19 minutes between your two posts. Two things to remember here: We do this in our spare time, and some questions need a bit of research to respond with a educated answer. It took 11 minutes for Jane to find and answer you question. Most of the views are from guests that rarely answer questions. Please give us time to answer as it is unsettleing to read negetive posts about response time. As for your question: I live where Mynah and Mocking birds are native. They do hop rather than climb or walk one foot in front of the other. You will find with age the hop will be combined with winged filght to attain the desired perch. I have never had one captive but they are fun to listen to in the trees imitating the other birds calls.

I also had the common Mynah. They are brown in color and is smaller than the hill mynah. Well I am sorry to say but most of them dont talk. But there is a myth that a common mynah that is hatched in spring can talk. Well I am not completely sure abt it but its just a myth. SO the possibility of ur 1 talking is very slim. If u want a mynah that can talk get the big black 1.
