Hello Everyone, Im back from my overseas misson again. I feel good to be back and updating myself with what's the latest news in this Forum. Ok, I have some problems and need some advice. My pair of Cocketeils (Kiki -Male and Lala - Female) has been matting for the last two weeks and still matting. It seems that Lala often go in her nest box and tidying her shraded papers which I place in it. But what upsad me was Lala keeps on pooing clear liquid like an egg white. Does that means that her egg was not develope properly or shall I say "miscarage"? :'(Will she be able to lay eggs? How long from matting period to laying of eggs will take place? Im confused, so all experience people out there, pls advice. Thank you all in advance.

take the nest box away for a bit to see if this clears up. Mine stopped breeding when we took away their ability make a nest; make sure she is getting enough calcium in her diet.

Thanx Preston.
I will do that then. I did feed them fresh local lettuce, spinach and cuttle fish bone. But it seems that they prefer pallets instead. They dont really like apple. What other fruits can you suggest for their protien to build up?
Thanx once again.

From what I understand pellets are pretty balanced in nutrition. I have four Cockatiels and not one of them like fruit. They do like the broccoli sprouts, and they are very good for calcium. They go nuts for nutriberries. I have 9yr. old and 1 8yr. old; they are real healthy on that diet.

That doesn't sound good. You many want to get her to a vet to be checked. Those could be shell less eggs she's dropping. The NCS (National Cocatie Society) is a good place to go . You don't have to join to ask ?s.
