I just rescued a grey. How can you tell about how old they are?
I've looked around the board but haven't found anything yet.

The eyes of a baby grey are all black. They gradually start to lighten and change through dark grey, pale grey, very pale grey and eventually pale yellow around the age of 2. Once the eyes are the adult pale yellow colour you can't really tell how old the bird is.

hi there, please do correct me if im wrong but i was looking on the net a while ago (cant remember where as such) but it said that the ring on the birds foot tells you the breeders information including the last 2 digits of the year they were born.

I am trying to find this too, I was told every breeder does it differently. I have adopted Pete, his family told me he is 4, but his band is showing the number 95. SO I am not sure.

I don't know how it is worldwide, but in the US the breeder band doesn't usually have anything to do with the year they were hatched. It usually has the breeder initials and a number for breeder reference - so they can tell them apart in the nest.
