I am going to get my baby boy tomorrow. He is not really a baby. He is 12 years old, but I am sure he will be my baby. I have one problem. I am going out of town Thursday and Friday ( will leave Wed. night back Fri. eve). My neighbor has agreed to take my bird at her house while I am gone. Is this a good idea? I have 5 cats and am afraid to leave the bird alone so soon. I could leave him at the pet shop all week, but I am afraid what might happen to him there. You never know what kids might do to him ( or might have already done). My neighbor is very loving toward animals. I know she will take good care, but I am not sure if she knows about parrots. I don't know much about parrots. Please help me descide. I could take him with me, but it is a 1 1/2 hr trip. ???Thanks for any help you can give. P. S. My husband just gave me the go ahead so I can hardly wait to get him.

What is his background and what sort of life has he been used to? Is he used to travelling? The other option would be for your neighbour to go into your house. Is that a possibility?
