I just bought "Cheeno" a few days ago, today I brought him into the shower and he stepped up and so I placed him close to the shower and he started putting his head under it and drinking a lot. I got concerned and ended his shower session early. He was regurgitating a lot of water and spitting it everywhere, is this ok. How can I prevent so much water consumption while showering? Oh, he is two years old, I'm not sure if I am in the right forum, He is an CAG but not a newly hatched

Perhaps don't put him so close, just let the water go on him lightly. Yes you are in the right forum, "A New Grey" means any new Grey not just a baby. Welcome to the forum.

He must have taken in too much at once and then it was being regurgitated. It was probably a normal reaction to what had happened.

Thank you for the welcome messages, after reading so many posts, yes I do feel lucky that my baby loves the shower. I wish he wouldn't drink so much water, heh, does anyone know if it is ok to shower CAG's in soft water, I have a water softener, I hope it's ok.

I would try not to let him drink it in that case. Hard water is artificially softened by the replacement of the calcium ions with sodium ions. Make sure you always give him water from the mains supply rather than the softened water to drink as well.

I have a reverse osmosis water filter system for drinking water, I was just concerned about while in the shower. I will try to keep him from drinking any from now on. Thank you..........
