Did you say you were not sure whether she was a Congo or a Timneh? Sweetie is definitely a Congo. Her tail has the darker grey on the edges because she is a young bird.

Very pretty and alert looking little baby bird! But how can you tell about her tail from that photo, all I can see of her rear end is darkness.

Lidia I looked at the bigger photo. It does look as if the tail feathers have darker tips. I suppose it could just be the photo though, maybe Karen will tell us.

I cropped the photo from a large file and the tail is definatly dark edged, and is a congo. I guess I could photoshop it for some clarity. FYI, right click on any of the pics I host and choose "view image" and you'll see a 2X2 that will zoom quite a bit before it pixelates. Janes got it figgured out! The ones that are iffy I recieved that way.

Hi Haven't been here for a while, been so busy Thanks Jane & Preston, at least now I know my bird is a Congo And yes Lidia, not only alert but naught, but I still love her ;D
