My computer at work has WordPerfect. Find and Replace is a feature where I press control and the letter 'f". I start with the first word, leave it there, and then tab down to "replace" and put three "X's" so that the same word doesn't show up again. Then I just go to the next word and do the same thing. Takes a real long time. Then, I have to count the actual different words he has in his sweet head.

I am computer illiterate -- I'm the queen of computer illiteracy. But I'm so glad I've always written down new words at home when he says them, then at work I add them to the list. His newest word is "Christy", the name of a friend who calls me quite a bit to talk on the phone. So I've still got some stuff to add to his list. "Why are you being so quiet?" is real popular with Kito lately, too. I said it ONCE one day when he wasn't being talkative and I was feeling worried about his cage being too small and his results from a vet visit. His larger cage has made a WORLD of difference. He seems so much more happy and relaxed and LOUDER than ever. Last night I had to leave the room to finish a phone conversation with my Dad. Oh, I love that boy. And I love it when he says "I love you" as I freshen up his big dish every night. It's a GREY'T world.

I'm also glad to hear Kito is happy in his new bigger cage. Now if I can just get my Josey to start talking more.

I finished the computer thing -- Kito has 307 different words in his sweet head. 2 years and 7 months. These darlings are so incredible -- I'm all puffed up here.

It finds a string of words so you can modify a portion of them all, in lieu changing them one at a time.
EDIT: I didn't see the page two before I answered, DOAH!

I'm more impressed in her recall of his vocabulary than his actually knowing it. Pete comes up with stuff he picked up from TV so I don't have a clue as to the content of his vocabulary, he just makes us laugh with each new thing he throws out. Andi seems to be a tad smarter than him, but is much too young for a comparason yet. Pete is extreamly adept at using verbage in context though.
