Hi Debbie, Who is this Lindi person? I do the same thing as you in the morning. Joshua comes out for breakfast and a shower with me. He goes back into his cage with his slice of buttered toast, and he eats his breakfast there and we talk while I put my slap on and eat my breakfast. If, for some reason, I alter this regime in any way, he gets very angry and sulks for the entire day. I have run out of bread from time to time, and he bites me when I try to put him in his cage without the toast! I think we have a contract and so long as both of us keep our side of the deal, it works! Lidia lol Lidia I just loved your answer ;D I think you and Joshua have got a fine routine going there

Well I work full time also and sometimes I work an 11 hour shift at the hospital ...Charlie hates to see me go and clings on to his bars with one leg whistling and says ..Charlie good boy lol its so funny and as I am in my car I can still hear him whistling after me but when I come home in the morning I am greeted with a bleary eyed helloooooooo even a kiss so it makes it all worth while so before I go to bed we have a little breakfast together and a little play time...Charlie seems none the worse for this as the other members have said they adjust to your routine and they always know you will be back

The lady I am purchasing my TAG from begins to raise them as though they were in a household where people work. This is one of the topics she hits upon on her webpage. Although I really didn't ask her, I asume this means that they don't pick them up and handle them every minute of the day, and perhaps they begin to teach them how to keep themselves somewhat occupied during the day.
I made the mistake of handling and playing with my tiel all the time when I first got him and I am now going through H_ _ _ _ trying to get him adjusted to the fact that I can't pay attention to him 24/7. (He screams like a maniac for 3 or 4 hours at a time if I don't pay constant attention to him now)

Angela, I must leave Kito alone from 8 to 5 five days a week. I always open blinds so he gets whatever sunshine we have. I always turn on the radio to an easy listening station for him and leave one lamp on near his cage. He does just fine and is very animated all morning while I get ready for work and especially when I first get home. When I first get home, he seems sleepy -- I read that Greys like time to themselves (before I brought my baby home). He seems to. He did much better, though, after I started leaving his "tunes" on. P.S. from Vicky to Angela: Forgot to mention that our schedule is very much set. His main meal same time each evening, his treat same times of day, play time at same time.....from all I read and from friends who have AG's, the schedule is so very important -- just so they know what to expect, like a child...gives them security. Thaks for the earplugs Philly--gees I coulda used them a couple of months ago !!!! Actually the last week or so he seems to be getting the idea that when he screams I turn the tv up louder. Seroiusly, he really seems to be getting better. I moved his cage and have three sides of it covered so he can't see me all the time as he did before--but he can see outside now. I truly believe he is just bored as all the money I've spent on toys so far has been just a waste as I can't seem to get him interested in playing with anything. Again I'm sure its because he wants me, me me me. What a brat. And he's all mine !!!!
