Well my cage collasped yesterday, and both my cockatiels escaped and flew off, so far I haven't been able to get them back, and don't think I will, I have done posters, and contacted the vets etc, I am really gutted about losing Motty, I have had him for about 3 years, and he was really tame, he always whistled and sung to me, and I was really upset about losing him, as for Lotty, I got her in August, couldn't quite train her that much, but still upset she has gone, i'm gonna give it a few weeks, if they are not found I will proberly start looking for a new cockatiel.
Can anyone tell me about albino cocketiels?

I hope you find them...you never know. I've heard stories of finding birds days later. What kind of climate are you in? Also, I know there have been several discussions on this forum about putting out food, their cage, etc. to entice them to return. Good luck

Keep looking its can be worth it. I lost my cody twice the first time i ddint thint he could . He fly out the kitched door from the living room I went in and he was one I went outside looking for a hour I whistled to him our song and kept looking about a block away a lady came and asked what i was looking for and i said a yellow cockatiel she said he was in her yard on a chain link fence. I had never been so happy to have found him. Funny part was he was so beautiful sitting on that chain link fence with the sun comming threw a weppying willow tree and a yard sprinkler was going back and forth and he was takeing a bath and he hates baths... he has been with me for three year on july 16.

I know you can't replace "them" but they should offer to get you two more birds. Hopefully, your babies will come home, you never know.....

im really sorry about your cockatiels. Dont lose hope though. A while back my mom had our 40 canaries ina big cage outside and somehow the cage opened up and ALL 40 birds flew away! We were devestated but they all returned by the end of the day. We only had one missing and the next morning we went outside first thing and called out for the bird and sure enough there he was and came back home!! We have also had our 2 lovebirds fly away and we chased them down the street for a few hours and finally got them back. I really hope u have the same luck!! Good luck with finding your bird!

We grew up with cockatiels. Everyone in a while one would fly away because they had such light bodies that they were able to fly quickly even after a clip. Our family was also very big and all of us children were allowed to hold the cockatiels whenever we wanted as they were very friendly so sometimes we weren't always as carefull as we could have been. We had built a huge aviary where they had plenty of room to fly around in so they were excellent flyers. Only once did a bird ever fly away and never return though. Anyways, a young bird got away and we were all looking around the neighborhood. A few days later my older sister, who was in middle school at the time, found some boys chasing our bird with a baseball bat taking swings at him on the playground at school. She got the bird before he got hurt and kept him under her sweater until school ended. The poor bird was so scared but he seemed very happy to get back in the aviary with the other birds. Some people can be very mean and it was just our luck that my sister was there at the right time. I wouldn't give up hope of finding your bird. I have heard stories of birds being lost for months at a time and still being returned home.

Well I think i've found 1 of them, a cockatiel was found, near my house, same age as mine, same colours and it was female, and it had a tag like mine, so i'm going to see if it's her tomorrow or not, I will know if it is or not so fingers crossed Though i've had no luck finding the tame one
