I make all my own foot toys and colour them using kool-aid. I buy the same products you have shown at Michael's craft store ... I'm not very creative so haven't attempted a hanging toy! Perky goes through foot toys like crazy ..

Yep. I recently rewrapped the gym (it was looking a little ratty as you can tell from the pic). I didn't get the whole thing done before Nikko wanted to come out, so the main crossbar was just plain PVC. She didn't want to walk on it, but when she gave in, she very gingerly moved about the gym. She was pretty happy to get all the wrap put back on. I went with red, white, and blue this time. Very patriotic . I'll post pics later of the last 2 hanging toys I made. I'm not all that creative either, I just kind of wing it. Nikko seems to really like the last one I made because it has lots of stuff on it: plastic shapes (squares, circles, triangles, and turtles), wood shapes (snowflakes, stars, maple leaves, and hearts), plastic tubes, leather, cotton rope, and paulie rope. When she gets tired of chewing on one type of material, there's always a new type to try.
