That is SUCH a relief, even if the vet has to operate, at least it's nothing terrible, like cancer. I am very, very, very glad the news was good.
I am sure Mina will be fine, especially now she is in such good hands.

That is good news. Fatty deposits like this are very common in birds and that is why I suggested it could be something harmless, but of course I couldn't say for sure. Thanks for the update.

By the way, the vet was astonished, when he found out that Mina has become tame after 3 weeks. She didn't even try to bite him (even thought she was a bit scared). He said that usually African Greys brought from the wild take approximately 1 year to settle down in a new home. We feel very happy that we've managed to adapt to each other in such a short time.
