I read on the BBC website about a box loving cat who was accidentally mailed to California when she climbed into a large box in her family home in Utah. The box was being returned to Amazon and she was rescued nearly a week later by an Amazon worker who took her to the vet where her microchip was scanned. Her owners flew over 1000 miles to retrieve her - hungry, thirsty and glad to be home.

My husband was just telling me about it. I can picture it happening, if they had a really large amazon box and were returning a lot of items, and she was all curled up underneath something.
Then after a day wondering where the heck the cat went.

Wouldn't someone notice the box wobbling and investigate before it reached Amazon?

Apparently it was quite a large box and contained several pairs of steel-toed work boots so it was probably quite heavy and not affected by the presence of the cat. Also, the owner was on TV this morning and said the cat tended not to miaow, so nobody would have been alerted.
