I get dried pineapple and papaya from a health food shop. I soak a couple of pieces per day in boiling water before giving it to them. I had run out so I ordered some from a parrot supplies site at a much higher price for the same thing. Mitzi has decided she doesn't like it anymore.

I had given Mitzi some of the papaya which she didn't eat and I gave her some of the pineapple the next day but she didn't eat that either. I don't know why,it is exactly the same as she has had before, the little pieces, but a lot more expensive.
I haven't tried them with fresh.

Aka doesn't like pineapple. I give him a small amount of fruit everyday and this changes according to what fruit I eat on that day. I have tried giving him pineapple from my plate but he pretends to eat it. When I leave the room, there is a 'plop' sound. That's the pineapple being thrown from his bowl.
I thought it was just a coincidence the first time so I kept giving it to him so he could get used to it, but nope. He throws it out of his bowl every time. That's fine, more for me.
I haven't given him papaya yet, it's quite difficult to find papaya out of season here and when I do find, they are all sold out. I'll let you know how he feels about that. His favorite fruit is banana, it's the only thing he eats from my hand (as long as he doesn't see my fingers on the banana).

Monty and Mitzi both love banana too. I give them a small slice each day and Mitzi grabs it from me as soon as I offer it to her. I feed Monty his by beak.
