I have just found this forum, and, as the proud owner of a 7.5 year old female pet Congo African Grey Parrot named Aziza, I wish to talk about African Grey Parrots, as well. I hear her calling for my attention as I'm typing this thread. She's a beautiful bird, she's sweet, and I hold a birthday party for her once a year around the first week of February (when she was born back in 2010), by having some friends over for a meal, and to see Aziza. We all enjoy ourselves a great deal.

Hi, Jane.
Thank you very much for your quick response, and for welcoming me onto this site, and for your compliments. Aziza is great, and I fully savor the joys of having her as a pet.

Aziza sounds wonderful. Do you have a picture of her you could share? That is so great that you have such a good relationship with her!!

Hi there! I'm back, and glad to be back.
Aziza is now 9 years old, and she's still going strong! I've tried some new tactics with her, which seem to be working quite well. Last year, I purchased a plastic 2-shelf cart on wheels, and, after putting it together, I put a few manzanita branches and one T-perch that I'd had for quite some time on top of the cart, and screwed them securely on. She likes her gym, and I wheel her into my small bathroom, run the shower for awhile, thereby providing her with some steam. It's helped a great deal with her feathers, as well.

Welcome back!
I have something similar although yours sounds better. Mine is a little trolley with 4 plastic drawers in a metal stand. On the top I have put a cat litter tray and a Polly Pastel stand. I use the drawers for parrot toys but the runners for two of the drawers have become detached under the weight so it is a bit wonky now.
