Mitzi empties out the food bowls using her foot. Usually she puts her foot in, grabs a footfull and throws it on the floor. If I tell her to stop doing it she stands sideways with the bowl on her right, then dips slightly and puts her left foot in because she thinks I can't see what she is doing. It is quite a devious manoeuvre!

Chy must think she can't get enough with her foot. She scoops up a beak full of food and tosses it.

Jane, Sid does the same darn thing, He will look me right in the eye while he sticks his little foot in his pellet dish get a footfull and dumps it on the floor. like waiting for a response of some kind. When I say what did you do ? he says WHAT! Stinkers they are.

Sheeba used to put her head in the dish and swing it back and forth, dumping out nearly every bit of food. I think she liked to see my reaction. I finally got a plastic seed corral that her dish sits in. she still dumps a bit of food, but it sits in the plastic enclosure. Fortunately, she never figured out how to grab clawfuls of food!

That is such a funny image, of Mitzi thinking she's being all sneaky with the food. I remember seeing a video of a cockatoo, reaching his feet through the bars of the cage to reach the curtains, so he could pull them in and destroy.
My two use their feet to eat, but they always lead with their beak. I've never seen them do that, except once with my tortoise, Hercules. When he was a baby, Manzi was ridiculously curious. I kept scolding Manzi if he reached out with his beak for Hercules, so then eventually he started reaching out with his foot. I thought it was soooo cute.
