Sheeba has always been a picky eater, mostly likes to eat what we are eating: ice cream, popcorn, crackers, potato chips, salted nuts, oatmeal, cheerios, yogurt, etc. You put bird food in her dish and she says "yogurt, yogurt."
But she always has Zupreem pasta fruit blend, Volkman's non-sunflower seed mix, plus a fruit and vegetable salad every afternoon. She basically picks over it and maybe eats 20% of what's there. But get a snack out of the refrigerator and she's all over it! She'd rather get into my chicken sandwich rather than eat real parrot food! I tried a new food, called L'Avian Plus Bean Cuisine. It has a lot of dried rice, beans, pasta, corn, etc. You cook it and let it cool, she loves it!
It gets Sheeba's seal of approval! We'll see if her weight goes up. 8 years ago she weighed 550 grams, now she weighs 520. Still pretty good.

Sounds good.
Mitzi has always weighed around 520g give or take a few grams. Monty weighs less than that but he is more difficult to weigh due to his feet problems.

Part of Chy's daily diet is Bean Supreme. It sounds similar to Sheeba's new food. The instructions say to soak the whole package in boiling water and let it cool. I just soak a handful in boiling water and let it cool. I add broccoli, corn and carrots. She dives in.
