I give Chy a cracker when someone else has them. She loves them.

Jane, I have noticed the same neck movements in Sid when ever he is given something that is very dry, small pieces of bread, crackers etc. If he dips it in water there is no problem. but he does not always do this. But I agree that movement scares me and I don't give those things anymore. It looks like he is choking.

Mitzi always dips Nutriberries in water, she really loves these but if Monty is in the way and she can't get to the water bowl she will drop the Nutriberry rather than eat it undipped. She doesn't dip anything else though.

Chy always dips her pellets in water prior to eating. The current bag of Nutriberries is not very good. The “berries” are crumbling. Half the bag is now just loose seeds. It is a good thing she doesn’t dip them or they would just fall apart. I will have to put the contents of this bag out for the wild birds as Chy doesn’t eat loose seeds.

Haz you reminded me of something that just happened. I decided to start throwing Ruby's unused food outside for the birds to enjoy but it's mostly ducks where I live. I didn't mind because there was a mom with 5 babies and it was quite cute. Well, the babies are now quite big and still hanging with mom and every time I open the front or back door, there they are. It got rather hilarious the other day when I opened the front door to leave for work, realized I'd forgotten my phone, and by the time I got back I had 5 ducks in my living room haha!
I've decided to call a halt to the duck feeding and have instructed Ruby to please start to finish her food. (She doesn't seem impressed with my pleas ....)

Haz - I know what you mean. I have had some bags like that, instead of being nice round balls they are irregular and crumbly. I find it is usually the Sunny Orchard ones. I wonder if they sometimes get the recipe wrong.
Chris - That is so funny. At least it was ducks not swans, swans can be quite aggressive.
