Weezer has been with me 2 days now. when I woke up this morning there were 4 big grey feathers and 2 red ones on the floor. HELP is there anyting I can do before he starts being a plucker? hes s20 years old and I just got him on Sunday, because his owner died ….. PLEASE im so worried about him plucking. Ive stayed in the room with him ALL day today (so far) working around him. I hung newspapers from top of case and even put a roll of toilet paper in there so he can chew it up Hes shredding them now but im afraid hes to upset NOT to pluck. If they pluck all their feathers WILL THEY stop every?

It is difficult to say because he probably is upset but it is possible these have been molted rather than plucked. Have a look at the feather shafts and see if they are clean. They tend to pluck the smaller feathers such as on the chest the legs or under the wings.

It varies and sometimes they lose wing and tail feathers, other times it is just the smaller feathers. It can also vary between birds - Mitzi has much more noticeable molts than Monty.

Welcome.
I think your bird is a bit stressed, you might try too calm it down by just sitting next to the cage and reading out loud to it.
I would start to worry if any of the ends of the feathers are bloody or have anything that looks like flesh attached.
That would be a sign of STRESSED OUT.
