I think mine have got little body clocks that tell them when it is 9pm and I want to watch something good on TV. Monty in particular starts making a lot of noise. Even if the TV has already been on for a while, as soon as it gets to 9pm Monty starts squawking loudly and Mitzi starts demanding various things to eat.

Beaker seems to sense when it is bedtime and starts announcing it.
Doesn't necessarily mean he is in the mood to do it though.

It's amazing how they can tell time. We go to bed early, and every night at exactly 6 PM Ash will start saying she wants to go to bed. Even with the time change, she knows 6 PM. It's really annoying on the weekends.

In this birdhouse, Sid tells me when it's time for night night at 730 every night, but not for him. He wants the little quaker to go to bed so Sid can have alone time with mom.

It is the same with Chy. Every evening around 8:00 p.m. she starts asking if she can get us a snack and starts suggesting things like a pear or plum.

Beaker was yelling for my son last night, but he left to work on a music project he is involved with.
I told him to stop yelling, he saw Trevor leave the house and to go do something else (besides yelling).
He would glare at me and then do something else for awhile, but he would return to yelling, especially when bedtime came around.
Then he would announce it was "nite nite" time or "Beaker go to bed".
He would not go in his cage by himself however and go to bed.
So, I let him stay up.
At around 8:30 he was really announcing it was bedtime, but he still wouldn't go in by himself.
Beaker has a "routine" where he flips upside down on my hand and lays on his back on a perch and uses my hand as a chew toy before he lets go and bedtime is on.
He does the same to my son.
This time he was so tired, he just climbed off my hand and went straight to his roosting spot.
What a character.

They are such creatures of habit. Mitzi always goes and gives Monty a kiss when I am covering them up.
