I have stopped using my air purifier, I hoover it out regularly but I am sure it is throwing out as much dust as it takes in.

We have an electronic filter on our furnace. We also have a Filter Queen air filter in the bedroom because of hubby's allergies.

One interesting thing that was pointed out is that the bird can also suffer from the dust if it isn't dealt with.

That may be true, but cockatoos are even worse in that respect. I use the Austin Air Pet Machine for Aziza, and it's great.

Good article. I've mostly given up trying to clean it up. I figure in about a year dander will completely fill the house and we will be entombed like insects in amber for future archaeologists to find.

Very funny z00ropa.
Hubby said if we could collect the dander, we could sell it as a high-priced lubricant. It has a silky feel to it.

Just curious. No purifier yet, but I do have a hepa filter on the house central fan. Beaker gets an "air bath" weekly. africangreyparrot.info/thread/8272/new-air-bath-video

That dust drives my wife crazy, I have a small powerful cordless vacuum that gets a workout every morning in Sheeba's corner . At least during the warmer months Sheeba enjoys being in her outdoor cage! Her indoor cage is black and that dust covers every flat surface.
