I was watching a TV programme and one of the characters said: "I am going to Darlington next week." Mitzi immediately said: "bye bye"

Chy has never done that for a TV character. However, she does it with visitors and when we leave. We have decided that she is psychic. She always knows when we are going out before we say anything. She even knows when one of us is going alone or both of us. She will say, "Mommy and Daddy are going out. Bye bye. See you later. Be good." If it is one of us, she will say that person is leaving. If it is our daughter leaving, she will say, "Bye Gail".
These greys are pretty smart.

I think Ruby may be psychic also. She doesn't say 'Bye' when either of us leaves despite years of trying to teach her that but instead makes the sound of the front door knob turning, which has a distinctive squeak to it. Sometimes one or both of us will be talking about going somewhere and Ruby will blurt out the front door squeak. Regardless of the psychic aspect, I think it's interesting that for her 'Bye Bye' and 'front door squeak sound' are essentially the same thing.

Anytime Beaker sees me carrying the "parrot eating" wicker basket downstairs he starts making the washing machine noises.
