A female Blackbird arrived at the bird bath in my garden. There were several leaves in the bird bath which were going to interfere with her bath so she tossed them all out and then had a good splash.

That's funny that she cleaned out the bird bath for you (well, for herself). Really cute. My in-laws have a bird bath that gets so much attention too. Lots of little birds come and splash around. Then the bigger ones come and the little birds scatter. They make a lot of noise and it sounds like they are having a party outside.

We had a kid in our neighborhood who would sit in a birdbath in front of the house all day.
Oddball for sure.
His parents consulted with a "expert" and he said to remove the birdbath.
The kid flew away!
HAHAHA Gotcha!

I don't like it when one bird has a really good bath and then another one turns up and has a good drink. They don't realise they are drinking dirty bathwater! Jane

I hear what you're saying about the dirty water but in the wild all bets are off I suppose. I saw pictures and videos of wild African Grey's (there's someone on the AG Facebook forum who is doing tours to their secret locations) and they were drinking some of the blackest and filthiest water you can imagine.
