Hello everyone. Hope you all are doing great. I have gone into a bit of issue with my Rockey the AGC. He has had a partially broken wing feather which is just hanging. I observed it to find any bleeding but thats not the case. The feather has no bleeding and just hanging and the parrot is healthy and happy. I thought he might pull the feather out himself but it has been about 5 days and still he hasnt pulled it. He doesnt let me touch the feather that means it might be sore to touch. The problem is i am going out of country for 10 days. Rockey is with my family but they dont know how to handle issues such as a broken blood feather and how to stop the bleeding in case it happens. So what should i do? Should i pull out the feather myself or just let him pull it out on it's own. It is not bleeding nor hurting him(unless i try to observe the area then he hesistates). Please reply as soon as possible as i have to leave tomorrow morning for 10 days.

If it isn't bleeding it is a mature feather and it won't start bleeding. He probably realises it isn't as it should be and that is why he doesn't want you to touch it. Pulling it out would cause him pain. If he won't let you touch it there isn't much you can do but it shouldn't cause him any problems.
