Has anyone put their grey outside during a warm gentle rain shower?
Because Chy refuses to go in my shower, I thought that may be a way to get her to shower. I could take out her food dishes and the paper on the bottom of her cage and just wheel the whole cage out onto the deck. She enjoys being out there when the sun shines. How would she feel about a warm gentle rain shower?

You might experiment with a sprinkler or a hose sprayer set on mist.
I wouldn't wait for it to rain.
I can just see you soaking wet trying to comfort an AG glued to the side of its' cage...............

I suspect she would just huddle on the bottom of the cage. The times I have been able to pull her claws out of my arm and put her in the shower, she has huddled in the corner of the shower. It was just an idea to get her very wet without me getting bloody wounds.

Monty likes being sprayed. Mitzi has never been as keen but she will try and bathe in her water bowl when she wants to get wet and then I spray her. I use a very small clear plastic sprayer, the sort you can get in travel packs for cosmetics, or the ones for spraying air plants. It is five inches by one inch so fits in my hand without causing alarm.

That is what I have been doing but she is still very dusty after I spray her.

We've thought of doing that too. Ruby hasn't been too keen on the shower for a while although has been getting marginally better. The rain here in Florida now is quite warm (and unfortunately plentiful) so I might give it a try. I've no doubt the scene will be much as beakertrout describes haha - but I can compensate by putting on my bathing suit. Chris

Let me know how it goes. Then I can try it.
