My African grey has plucked all her feathers about 6 months ago..taken her to vets & he believed it to be behavioural. She continues to pluck when they grow back in. She does not appear to be depressed & continues to say new words on a regular basis. Any ideas

Welcome to the forum.
Plucking seems to be a problem with lots of greys. They need to have lots of toys and attention. Even with those things, some greys continue to pluck. Some forum members have had success with putting a small (new) feather duster in the cage for the bird to pluck instead of its own feathers. My own grey has a medium birdie brush to preen. She is quite violent with it and it needs to be replaced often.

Thanks Haz for ypur advice. I will have a wee try @ a feather duster & see how it goes. Also got some aloe vera juice to spray onto her feathers, can you advice or anyone else how often to do this also how much will I dilute it.

Hello and welcome to the forum. The dilution is not too critical, I usually use one part pure aloe vera juice to three parts water. You can spray her daily.
