< Gandolf is on his fourth home and is approximately three years old. We were told that he started in the loving home and that when the couple started having issues the woman took out some of her frustrations on him. Leaving him covered for days when hubby was out of town, banging on his cage, And much to our surprise swearing at him. When the husband found out about her behavior he found a rescue. The rescue we were told had him for about six months and he was then placed with a young couple who clammed they had had him for over a year. We were told that he absolutely hated women and that he had a bad habit of biting and although he didn’t tear objects apart apart he did love to tear up paper and poke holes in clothing occasionally. The gentleman was barely able to hold him and corrected him by holding his beak and getting really close and saying NO! As we were preparing to leve we noticed that their dates kept changing😒 with a little FB stalking we found they had gotten him less than 2 months before. All I can say is at lest they relised they shouldn’t be his owners☹️
We have been his happy parents for almost 2weeks and while he absolutely adores my husband, I am happy to report that I am no longer hearing “nasty son of a B!%@#” and only sometimes a whispered “you’re an a$$ hole” when the kids run past the cage! 🙊 Neither phrase was one they shared with us as being one of the many things he says. He has bitten me a few times most just a warning... a few much harder.😖 but today for the first time he let rub his head for a good 2-3 min before he gently grabbed my finger telling me no more😃🤗😍
We are looking forward to moving forward and already love him very much !
