Jackdaws are very argumentative with each other but this morning two were fighting just outside my back door. One had the other pinned down on its back and was really beaking at it. I probably shouldn't have interfered in their behaviour but I felt I had to open the door to get them to stop. They both flew off, no doubt to continue their squabble somewhere else.

They were at it again the other morning. Two Jackdaws were on the ground facing each other in a sitting position and grasping hold of each others feet. Another Jackdaw was close to them. Then a Magpie came down to spectate. I suppose it counts for entertainment in the avian world.

Haha. That's funny that others were spectating!

That is priceless. It makes them fight then acts as referee.

The crow knew exactly what it was doing and persisted until it got the result it wanted. I wonder what happened to the second cat - at the end the black cat comes back up but not the other one.
