Good Afternoon,
I ordered a parrot play stand from Wayfair.com a bit ago and it just got here yesterday and I put it together today. I am a little concerned with it though. My African Grey got stuck in two places on it today. Do you think she just needs to get use to it? It is was way bigger then I thought it would be, about six feet tall and 2 ft X 3 ft. As I mentioned in previous posts, one of her digits does not work, and she is missing a nail on another digit, so she naturally has a little trouble getting around. I was so excited to get this, but now I am worried.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
Mel & Harley

It is good that she has gone on the stand so soon as they are often so nervous of anything new and will refuse to go on new perches, stands etc. When you say stuck do you mean she got her toe caught in the stand?

Jane, Thanks for the response. No, not her toe, she got her body stuck between the grate and the seed guard. It is strange, but there is like a five inch gap, I double checked the instructions and even called the manufacturer.
Thanks Again, Mel & Harley

If there is a gap big enough for her to get stuck in that doesn't sound right to me. What did the manufacturer say?

Jane, Thank you for your concern, I have put two pictures on this reply. One is the entire play stand, and the other is a close up of how the grate and seed guard are strange and how she can get her body stuck. Please let me know what you think. Thank you so much, Melynda &Harley Attachments:

Does it have to have the seed guard - I am wondering if you could remove it? Seed guards on cages are usually optional (I don't use the one on mine) so it might be the same for playstands.

I don't use the seed guard on Chy's cage either.
