I am raising by myself 2 grey babies (now 11 weeks old), the chicks were removed from the nest when they were 2 weeks old (parents are also mine). One of the chicks (the youngest) is screaming (like a monotony cat mewing) when he sees me (more that with other family members), the rest of the time when I am not present it seems that he is quiet. He is well fed both by commercial baby diet (twice a day 60 ml a19 VERSALE LAGA) and solid food.... Any idea why he is doing that? something he tries to express and I do know what.... this is becoming very bothering....

Knowing nothing about breeding, babies this young, or hardly anything at all really (!), my thought is he/she is missing their mommy?
Hopefully others will be more helpful - good luck!

I think because he does it when he sees you and is quiet when you are not there it is a natural begging for food response. Do you weigh them to make sure they are gaining weight?

Thanks a lot Jane, I agree that it could be related to food although I think they are both well fed....
