A woman in Michigan who murdered her husband in 2015 has just been found guilty and will be sentenced next month. The murder was witnessed by their African Grey parrot named Bud who started saying: "Don't shoot" in her husband's voice. Mr Duram's ex-wife who now owns Bud, said she believed the parrot was repeating a conversation from the night of the murder, which she said ended with the phrase "don't shoot!", with an expletive added. Mr Duram's parents said it was possible that the bird had overheard the couple arguing and was repeating their final words. His mother said: "That bird picks up everything and anything, and it's got the filthiest mouth around." A prosecutor in Michigan initially considered using the parrot's conversations as evidence in the murder trial, but this was later dismissed. www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-40665520 Jane
