My CAG, Bob, is 16 now. When he was still a baby, I was sitting quietly reading one afternoon, and he was on his perch by my side, grooming his feathers and just hanging out. I was suddenly startled by a "june bug" flying by my nose, (we were on our screened porch), and I exclaimed, "Ooooh!". Anyone who knows Greys knows that if what you say has emotion behind it, they are tuned in immediately, and I was so surprised, my "Ooooh!" got his attention. He loved it. I told him I had seen a bug, and he picked right up on it. Now, many years later, one of his favorite things to say is, "Patch see the bug? Ooooh!" More often, it's "Bobby see the bug? Ooooh!" I keep an Advil and a glass of water by my bedside when I got to sleep, in case I wake up thirsty or with the usual aches and pains. Bob was playing on the bed in the evening, and he jumped on the nightstand and grabbed the Advil, which scared the hell out of me. I grabbed the pill in his beak and said, with fervor, "Gimme that! Gimme that! Give it here!" and he relinquished his prize. The very next morning, I heard myself (Bob's voice) saying "Gimme that! Give it here!". It only took one time, but I said it with such urgency, that he learned it right away.

Great story.
I heard one of a grey reciting word for word a tantrum some kid threw in the pet store.
