I was upstairs ironing and heard Chy arguing with Daddy on the ground floor. It was a heated argument so I went downstairs to find out what was going on.
Ever since she learned how to scale the baby gate between the den and kitchen, it has become a favourite play stand for her. The argument was because she was chewing the door frame the baby gate was fastened to. Daddy was trying to get her to move and she was refusing. It was funny really. He is a foot taller and over 100 lbs. heavier than me but is intimidated by a little 1 lb. bird. I didn't argue with her. I just picked her up and put her on top of her cage.

What I can't stand is when they do something just to get a rise out of you. Once they discover what works you are doomed.

Yes, they are little birds with very big personalities.

What I can't stand is when they do something just to get a rise out of you. Once they discover what works you are doomed. That can be hard to take, but one has to learn to just sort of laugh at it, and go along with it a little bit. My CAG, Aziza likes to get up onto her inverted J post on top of her cage, and, then, when I go to get her down, she gets off of the post. Sometimes, she'll go with me while on her inverted J post, but sometimes she won't. It's funny as anything, though.
