I finally purchased one of these beautiful stands yesterday and I am super happy with it. Do other people's CAGs like these? Tezy loves it so far but had only uses it for a few hours.

That is a nice stand. It is good she has been on it already because they can be so afraid of new things. What is the stuff in the tray?

That's a very nice stand. I have two in my house one large I want a little bit shorter floor stands but my birds seem to love them I feed the larger smallest stand, and Peant my CAG on the tallest stand it makes it easier as I'm still hand-feeding them. I believe you cannot have too many bird stands around your house when you have Birds.😉☺

That does look like a beautiful stand. Where did you get it?
I want more stands around my house. Now that I have little kids, my stand needs are changing. I can't have ones that have the newpaper/poo catching material on the ground because the kids will get into it. I was trying to find stands that have elevated trays, but I haven't found many options. Any ideas? Right now, I put one stand on my desk, but that is about it.

I have the same problem as Adele since I take care of my grandson all day 5 days a week. Chy likes to sit on the open door of her cage with paper below to catch droppings. I have to change the paper immediately because of the baby. I can't use tall stands as she can't fly. Lately she has learned to climb up the baby gate which keeps the baby out of the kitchen. Chy is using the gate as a stand, sitting on the top bar.

I can imagine that your grandson wants to go over to Chy when she is sitting on the baby gate. Once I didn't change the newspaper fast enough below a stand and my nephew and my daughter were playing in it just after Manzi pooped. Not a pleasant situation!!

Ok so I use silicone cat litter and these problems are pretty much gone. I used to use newspaper but then it flaps her wings and everything goes flying. I purchased the stand at a local pet store called Rena's pet supply here in Orlando, FL. The owner is named Fernando and he is a super bird expert. He also takes care of wings, beaks, and nails. He is amazing! I got the stand for $45? It was a steal! I love Renas

I get alot of things on line but prefer to give business to locals. Your baby is beautiful, congratulations.

I get my Harrison's bird food from them and they are super nice.

The grandson is very stubborn. I am afraid he is going to get bitten. He will not leave Chy alone. As soon as I move him away from her, he is back. She tells him to move but he doesn't listen. Right now she goes up to sit on top of her cage when she wants to avoid him. He can't reach up there.

Unfortunately my daughter was bit twice in the last month. The first time was pretty bad. We had plexiglassed the cage, but she grew faster than we anticipated and she got the ends of her finger up and over the top of the plexiglass. Then Manzi bit her and she froze. Poor thing was bit pretty good. I wasn't home, but my husband was and it took him a second to get to her after she began to scream. He pulled her finger out of the cage, but she had already been chewed on a couple of times by then. We washed her finger out really well, but it started swelling. The doctor said to wash it some more and keep an eye on it. Our daughter immediately pulled off the bandages we were using to cover it. So then we washed it again and just before putting her to bed put antibiotic cream on again, hoping she'd be too distracted to mess with it. That did the trick and then it healed up just fine.
Last week she put her hand in Maui's cage. Maui did bite her, but just a warning bite and our daughter immediately pulled her hand away. So she seems to be learning. I've seen Maui bite really, really hard, pulling out a chunk of skin from her old owner, so I know she can do damage. Luckily she doesn't hate my daughter and just wanted to warn her!
I used to travel to South America for research for 6 months at a time and the people watching Manzi had a little boy. I called them and asked how they managed it. The mom told me that her boy was interested in the birds, but extremely cautious of a boy and never put his hands in the cage. My girl is not very cautious at all and sometimes I'm surprised she's made it this far!!

Sorry to hear about your daughter being bitten. My husband thought that if our grandson was bitten, it would teach him not to poke at Chy. Now I know he could get bitten more than once.
Thankfully, Chy is going up high to avoid him most of the time but his baby gate has become a favourite play stand so I really have to watch them.
